Ingredients

Pasta $0.69

Sour Cream $1.15

300g Bacon bits (diced bacon) $2

Can of Sliced mushrooms in butter mushroom sauce $1.09

Garlic cloves

1 Onion

Directions

OK put the pasta on to cook in salted water I just used Spagetti because it's what I had in the pantry.

In a pan put the bacon bits cook off until there is a little bacon fat coating the pan.

Roughly dice the garlic cloves and onion add to the bacon and cook until soft.

Add in the can of Can of Sliced mushrooms in butter mushroom sauce, stir through untill every thing is warm and mixed together. (this looks a bit gross push through I promise it works.)

When every thing is stirred through and hot add the tub of sour cream, mix untill fully melted and mixed together.

Drain the pasta leaving about 1/4 cup of the pasta water, add every thing together.

Put the lid back on the pan and let sit for 5 - 10 minutes. This sounds silly but the sauce seeps into the pasta and its really good.

I made this for breakfast this morning (yes, breakfast!) and it was REALLY good! I couldn't find mushrooms in butter sauce so I subbed a bag of frozen garlic peas w/ mushrooms. The sauce was a lil bland for me when it was all done so I added some garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and red pepper flakes. It took alot more than 25 minutes but I waited for the bacon to get crispy and I kept getting pulled away by my toddler. I hope the hubby likes it cuz I'm adding this to our rotation for sure!! :D
