Spicy Pepper Cookies

- 1 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ginger shopping list
- 1/2 tsp allspice shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp grated lemon rind shopping list
- 1/4 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 3/4 cup finely ground almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Sift together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and spices. Set aside.
- Cream butter and brown sugar util light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and lemon rind.
- Add flour mixture alternately with the whipping cream, beginning and ending with flour.
- Stir in the ground ground almonds.
- Shape the dough into 1/4 inch balls. Place them on ungreased sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown underneath.
- Leave cookies on the baking sheet for about 1 minute to firm up slightly before transferring them to a wire rack.
