I've tinkered with rib recipes for years, and have finally come up with one that is moist, spicy (depends on how you like it) and can rival a smoker. This is a staple in my house. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • Dry Rub:
  • 6 Tblsp. brown sugar
  • 6 Tblsp. paprika (there are many varieties, choose the spice level you prefer)
  • 3 Tblsp. freshly ground pepper
  • 3 Tblsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
  • 4 slabs baby back ribs
  • favorite BBQ sauce

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 250 degrees
  2. brush both sides of slabs w/ mustard
  3. sprinkle generously with dry rub and massage in
  4. place directly on the upper-middle rack with a jelly roll pan lined with foil on the rack below to catch the drippings
  5. cook for 3 hours (leave the oven door closed!)
  6. after 3 hours brush the ribs generously with your favorite bbq sauce and set the oven to broil. As soon as the ribs start to bubble, pull them out.
