How to make it

  • In heavy saucepan mix together sugars and Dr Pepper.
  • Cook over low heat stirring constantly until all sugar is dissolved then cook stirring occasionally until softball stage reached.
  • Remove from heat and add marshmallows and nutmeats together.
  • Beat hard for 2 minutes.
  • Drop on waxed paper in small balls 1 tablespoon at a time.
  • They should flatten out around the edges leaving mound of nutmeats in center.

    I know. That's what made me try it. I couldn't imagine the Dr. Pepper making a difference but it really does. Enjoy.
