Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup Dr. Pepper
  • 4 large marshmallows
  • 3 cups pecan halves

Directions
  1. In heavy saucepan mix together sugars and Dr Pepper.
  2. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until all sugar is dissolved then cook stirring occasionally until softball stage reached.
  3. Remove from heat and add marshmallows and nutmeats together.
  4. Beat hard for 2 minutes.
  5. Drop on waxed paper in small balls 1 tablespoon at a time.
  6. They should flatten out around the edges leaving mound of nutmeats in center.

You've definitely piqued my interest with this one... I would never have thought to use Dr. Pepper.


I know. That's what made me try it. I couldn't imagine the Dr. Pepper making a difference but it really does. Enjoy.
