S And N All Purpose Sauce

- 1 box of canning jars (half pints make 12 - pints make 6) shopping list
- 1 pint sugar shopping list
- 64 oz ketchup shopping list
- 1 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1 tbsp canning/kosher salt shopping list
- 2 pkgs little smokies shopping list
- 1 cup habenero pepper or jalepeno pepper- finely chopped. note: depending on level of heat you like; can lessen the peppers 3 whole peppers (seeds too) has a kick but is not too hot for most. shopping list
- WARNING NOTE: freezing hot peppers first then chopping keeps the oil from soaking into skin, however latex gloves is recommended. If choose not to wear gloves when handling hot peppers DO NOT TOUCH the private areas with hands - you will experience great pain! shopping list

How to make it
- Mix everything together, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until smokies are good and done. Usually about an hour is plenty. Gives time to sterilize canning jars and lids.
- Optional: Omit lil smokies and now have an awesome steak sauce. Also is great with ham steaks, to make buffalo wings, ribs, and chicken breasts.
- Optional 2: Add green bell peppers, onions, red bell peppers, chives etc etc and make salsa sauce.
