How to make it

  • Drain and press your tofu - I'm really not even sure I did it right but it worked! Just take the block out and wrap it in quadruple thick papertowel on a plate. Cover with a weighted pan (I used my cooking brick) for about 10 minutes. Flip it over and repeat. This just takes out some of the excess moisture from the tofu.
  • Cut the tofu into squares. I cut long ways into about 6 slices and then cut each slice in 4's.
  • Marinate the tofu in BBQ Sauce in a solid side dish - no baggies! Mine sat for over a day since we only cook a few pieces at a time but even an hour is good!
  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Spray a foil lined baking sheet with cooking spray and arrange marinated tofu close together and in a single layer
  • Bake for about 10 minutes turning the heat to 450/500 for the last 3-5 minutes to get the nice crunchy edges!
