Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups Bisquick biscuit mix

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 405*F
  2. Combine all of the ingredients. Knead the dough by hand until smooth.
  3. Flour your hands, pat the dough flat to 3/4 inch thickness on waxed paper (or marble cutting board), punch out biscuits with a buscuit cutter.
  4. Bake on a greased baking sheet for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. TIDBIT:
  6. To produce biscuits that most closely resemble the KFC variety, it is best to use a biscuit cutter for this recipe, as specified above. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, the lid of an aerosol can will suffice--just be sure its not from a product that is toxic. "I found the (COOKING SPRAY LID) works good ; )
