Dr Pepper Cake

- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa shopping list
- 1 cup Dr. pepper shopping list
- 2 cups Granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- Put the shortening, butter or margarine, cocoa and Dr. pepper in a pan and bring to a boil. In a large bowl, mix the Granulated sugar , flour and marshmallows; pour the Dr. pepper mixture in and beat at high speed until marshmallows melt. In a bowl, mix the eggs, buttermilk and baking soda; add to batter. Pour into thirteen by nine-inch pan. Bake at 350°F for forty-five minutes. shopping list
How to make it
- For Dr. Pepper Cake Frosting
- 6 Tbsp. Dr. Pepper
- 3 Tbsp. of cocoa
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 lb. Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Bring Dr. Pepper, butter or margarine and cocoa to boil and pour over Powdered Sugar; mix well. Add nuts and vanilla extract. Frost cake.
