This is the easiest Egg Drop Soup recipe you'll ever use. Has the same great taste but is very quick and easy! This recipe can be tailored for your taste by adding spicy sausage, jalepinos, or whatever your audience desires.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups of homemade chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 scallion, including some of the green part, cut into 1/4 inch pieces
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • Garlic salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Directions
  1. 1. Bring the broth to a boil.
  2. 2. Blend the cornstarch and water.
  3. 3. Add to the broth slowly, stirring.
  4. 4. When thickened, add the scallion.
  5. 5. Stirring the soup rapidly, gradually add the beaten egg.
  6. 6. Remove from the heat immediately and season with pepper.
