How to make it

  • Preheat oven to what the cake mix box says.
  • follow the instructions on the cake mix.
  • spray your pan**make sure to spray every part of the pan** (doesn't matter what size or shape you use)
  • sprinkle the bottom of pan with brown sugar (use the whole cup of sugar)
  • drain juice from pineapple slices, arrange slices evenly on bottom of pan
  • add a little bit more brown sugar and again arrange cherries in the hole of the pineapple slices.
  • bake as directed on box
  • when cake is finished baking, let it cool down for about a hour and a half and when the cake is cool, carefully turn cake upside down onto a plate and give it a little shake or tap and hopefully the cake comes out nicely.
  • let it stand for 3 mins and serve with pineapple ice cream and enjoy!
