Mels Awesome Peanut Butter Cookies

These are my fav peanut butter cookies----they are irresistable for peanut butter lovers! :)
Ingredients
- 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 c. shortening shopping list
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbs. milk shopping list
- 1 Tbs. pure vanilla shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended.
- Add egg.
- Beat just until blended.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
- Add to creamed mixture at low speed.
- Mix just until blended.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake @ 375 degrees F for 7 to 8 min., or until set and just beginning to turn light brown.
- Cool 2 min. on baking sheet before removing to kitchen counter top.
- Makes approx. 3 doz. cookies.

Love peanut butter and love peanut butter cookies!!! Our oldest daughter will be in seventh heaven next time she comes for a visit. There will be pleanty of Peanut Butter Cookies to satisfy her favourite cookie craving.
