Nonnies Apple Squares Recipe

This is my Mom's recipe for Apple Squares. As with some handed down recipes there is no baking time written down. The time is a guesstimate, what I think it was when I last made them.
These don't last long!

Ingredients
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 ½ Cups flour
- ¾ Cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. Soda
- 2 Cups diced apples
- ¾ Cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
Directions
- Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Sift flour and soda together, add to first mixture, blend well. Stir in apples and nuts.
- Bake in 8” square pan @ 350 until golden and top springs back when touched, about 25 - 30 minutes
- Recipe may be doubled and baked in 9” x 13” pan.
