Cuban-inspired Garlic Sauce Recipe

Cuban-Inspired Garlic Sauce Recipe
This is the garlic sauce I've developed to serve with tostones, based on a sauce I had at a Cuban restaurant. The sauce is amazing.. and really good on almost anything. We put as much of it on the rest of dinner as we do on the tostones. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/3 c white vineger
  • 1 c water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Directions
  1. Mince or press the garlic, add the rest of the ingredients and stir.
  2. Microwave for 1 minute (watch it so it doesn't boil over), stir.
  3. Microwave again and bring to a boil.
  4. Boil for approximately 30 seconds, just enough to melt the sugar and partially cook the garlic.
  5. Let cool and serve with Tostones or just spoon onto other foods - experiment, I think you'll be surprised at the things this sauce is really good on.
  6. You can also make this on the stovetop, bring to a boil and boil for 30 seconds. All else remains the same.

Love the garlic vinegar combo. I'd eat cardboard with this sauce on top. This is close to what the Habana cafe serves on their roasted pork sandwiches. Sublime.

Gotta try it!

Definitely have this saved. Thanks!
