How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350. Have two large nonstick baking sheets at the ready.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl. In a large bowl, beat butter and both kinds of sugar until creamy, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. On low speed, beat in flour mixture, then stir in oats, rasins and chocolate chips.
  • Dollop 1/4-cupfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheets. Bake cookies at 350 for 17 minutes, then transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
