Golden Corn Bowls For Chili Recipe

This is a magazine clipping recipe that I've had for years---it's really fun and tasty! :)

Ingredients
  • 1 (1-lb. 1.3 oz.) can Pillsbury Grands Golden Corn Biscuits
  • aluminum foil

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Make 8 - 3 1/2 in. balls of foil by slightly crushing 8 - 25" x 12" pieces of foil; flatten balls slightly.
  3. Place foil balls on large cookie sheets.
  4. Separate dough into 8 biscuits.
  5. Roll each biscuit to a 5 1/2 in. circle.
  6. Place 1 biscuit circle over each foil ball, shaping gently to fit (dough should not touch cookie sheets).
  7. Bake @ 350 degrees for 15-18 min. or until golden brown.
  8. Carefully remove chili bowls from foil.
  9. Spoon in 1/2 c. of your fav thick chili or soup.
  10. Enjoy! :)

Alterations


I was just thinking (and that's always dangerous) ... I wonder how it would work to use a soup bowl for a form ... push the foil into a soup bowl, preferably one with a flat spot on the inside bottom ... pull the foil out and use it as you said ...?
