Bacon And Clam Pizza Recipe
Wonderful flavor combination, easy to make with ready made crust. This is a WW recipe from their book "Fast and Easy" Use regular Alfredo and more cheese is you must, but you don't need to!

Ingredients
  • 2 6 1/2 ounce cans chopped clams, drain, reserving 1/4 cup juice
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 1/2 Cups thinly sliced onion
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1 lb Italian cheese pizza crust ( such as Boboli)
  • 1/2 C refrigerated light Alfredo sauce (regular Alfredo may be used)
  • 4 tsp chopped, precooked bacon (2 slices)
  • 1/3 C shredded fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 Tbl chopped fresh or 2 tsp dried parsley

Directions
  1. 400 oven
  2. Drain clams, reserving 1/4 C juice
  3. Coat a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium high until hot
  4. Add onion and thyme and saute 8 minutes or until onion is slightly browned
  5. Add reserved clam juice and cook until juice is evaporated, scraping to loosen any browned bits
  6. Stir in black pepper
  7. Place pizza crust on baking sheet
  8. Spread Alfredo sauce evenly over crust; top with onion mixture, clams, bacon, cheese and crushed red pepper
  9. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes or until cheese is melted
  10. Sprinkle with parsley
  11. 6 servings
