Honey Mustard Barbequed Ribs In The Crock Pot Recipe
HONEY MUSTARD BARBEQUE RIBS IN THE CROCK POT DATED 1954 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cauldron Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1993.

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon style mustard
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup bottled hickory smoked barbeque sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • Hot cooked noodles

Directions
  1. Place short ribs in crock pot.
  2. In medium bowl combine mustard, garlic, honey, salt, pepper and barbeque sauce.
  3. Pour over ribs then cover and cook on low 7 hours.
  4. Refrigerate several hours or overnight then skim any solidified fat from top.
  5. Remove ribs then heat in microwave or conventional oven.
  6. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water then add to sauce from ribs.
  7. Cook and stir in microwave or on stovetop until hot and slightly thickened.
  8. Pour hot sauce over warm ribs then serve on cooked noodles.
