Creamed Ham and Asparagus

- 2 tbls. butter shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 tbls. flour shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup swiss cheese, grated shopping list
- 1 tbls. parmesan cheese, grated shopping list
- 2 cups ham, cut into cubes shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups asparagus, frozen or leftover cooked shopping list
How to make it
- In skillet, melt butter and saute onion until tender
- Stir in flour and salt and pepper until blended
- Add milk and cream stirring constantly until mixture thickens and comes to a boil
- Lower heat and stir for one minute or so
- With heat on low, add cheeses and stir until melted.
- Add ham and asparagus and heat through
- Serve on toast or biscuits.
