Cincinnati Chili Recipe
The only recipe I have ever seen in which raw ground beef is boiled in water! Sounds ghastly but not to worry, it all turns out to be an awesome dish!

Ingredients
  • 1 quart water
  • 2 lbs. raw ground beef
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cumin seed
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp. Chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. ground allspice
  • ½ tsp. red pepper
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 ½ tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic

Directions
  1. Crumble raw ground beef into water.
  2. Add all other ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer 3 hours.
  5. Remove garlic and bay leaves from chili.
  6. Serve chili over hot dogs and buns for coneys or over spaghetti. Sprinkle either with grated cheddar cheese.
