3 LAYER STRAWBERRY SALAD Recipe
THIS SWEET STRAWBERRY JELLO SALAD IS A MUST TRY. WE HAVE MADE IT A HOLIDAYS AND AT SUMMER GATHERINGS.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 CUPS CRUSHED PRETZELS
  • 1 STICK MARGARINE
  • 3 TBS SUAGR
  • 8 OZ CEAM CHEESE
  • 6 OZ COOL WHIP
  • 1 C SUGAR
  • 6 OZ STRAWBERRY JELLO
  • 20 OZ FROZEN CHOPPED STRAWBERRIES

Directions
  1. 1ST LAYER
  2. MIX TOGETHER 1 1/2 CRUSHED PRETZELS, 1 STICK MELTED MARGARINE AND 3 TBS. SUGAR. PRESS INTO THE BOTTOM OF A NON-PREPARED 9X13 PAN. BAKE AT 350 FOR 10 MINUTES.
  3. MEANWHILE. PREPARE 2ND LAYER.
  4. 8 OZ CREAM CHEESE, 6 OZ COOL WHIP AND 1 CUP SUGAR IN BOWL. BLEND TOGETHER. SPREAD ON THE PRETZEL CRUST.
  5. 3RD LAYER
  6. 6 OZ STRAWBERRY JELLO DISSOLVED IN 2 CUPS BOILING WATER. ADD FROZEN STRAWBERRIES. MIX. WHEN PARTIALLY SET, POUR OVER CREAM CHEESE. THIS KEEPS WELL SO YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE THE DAY BEFORE SERVING.

Had this salad recently for the first time....it's got that salt and sweet thing goin' on...very good!


A friend makes this and I love it...I usually only get it at Christmas so I guess I need to just give it a try. Thanks for posting.
