Italian Seafood Portobellos

- 25 to 30 medium portobello mushrooms shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. each, salt, pepper and garlic powder shopping list
- 1 can (6-oz.) crabmeat, drained shopping list
- 1 pkg. (5-oz.) frozen cooked shrimp, thawed shopping list
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1 pkg. (16-oz.) italian sausage shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
How to make it
- Remove stems from mushrooms, chop stems and set aside.
- Place mushroom caps on waxed paper.
- Bottom side up, brush caps with oil,
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder.
- Pulse in food processor, combine crabmeat, shrimp, cheeses, garlic, pepper and mushroom stems.
- Pulse 10 to 15 seconds until coarsely chopped.
- Transfer to a large bowl.
- Crumble sausage over crabmeat mixture.
- Add egg, mix just until combined.
- Spoon into mushroom caps.
- Place on a greased pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees do this before you mix all ingredients so that is why this is at the end of the recipe.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- TIP: for a spicier version, ass 1/2 tsp. cayenne and 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes. To make this a meal serve over a bed of pasta with Alfredo sauce.
