This sounds like a very good wild rice soup...I love the idea of using ham, almonds, cream and sherry in this! Very interesting and delicious! Thanks Sweetwords, for telling us about this in the IMI group!

Oh, this is a wonderful soup! Made it last night; even my 4-year-old liked it. It's easy and fast, too. I used real wild rice (that only takes 20 minutes to cook), black pepper, and a small pinch of white pepper. Warming, filling, lovely soup.
