How to make it

  • Oven Temp ~ 325° Baking Time ~ 1 Hour & 15 Min.
  • Pan Type ~ Bundt pan
  • Preheat oven, grease and flour your pan.
  • Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs, beating well after each addition.
  • Beat in vanilla.
  • Combine flour and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
  • Fold in flaked coconut.
  • Pour batter into a prepared pan.
  • Bake coconut cake until cake tests done. Frost as desired.
