How to make it

  • Combine 3c. flour, raisins, yeast, salt, cinnamon, and soda,
  • In a sauce pan add milk, honey (or sugar) and water,heat to 120-130 degrees
  • add wet to dry ingredients, mix well
  • stir in remaining flour to stiffen batter
  • oil baking pans and coat with corn meal
  • divide batter into two loaf pans
  • sprinkle tops with corn meal
  • let rise in warm draft free place for 45 min.
  • bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 min. till browned and hollow sounding
  • cool, slice, and toast!
