Spicy Indian Chicken Skewers

- 6 chicken breast fillets shopping list
- 2 red onions shopping list
- 1 large green pepper shopping list
- 2 cups of thick, high quality live yogurt shopping list
- 1 ts of coarse salt shopping list
- 4 cloves of garlic shopping list
- 3 tbs grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 2 ts turmeric shopping list
- 3 tbs chopped coriander/cilantro (leaves, stems and roots) shopping list
- 1 large green chili pepper, de-seeded and chopped (more or less depending on what you like) shopping list
How to make it
- Cut each chicken fillet in 6 equally large chunks
- Peal the onions and cut each into 6 wedges
- Remove the seeds from the pepper and cut it in 12 chunks
- Put the salt and the garlic into a large mortar and grind to a pulp
- Add the ginger, coriander and chili pepper
- Stir the mix from the mortar into the yogurt in a bowl with the turmeric
- Push the chicken peaces into the marinade so they are all covered. eave for 2 to 12 hours
- When it's time to prepare the skewers, leave some of the marinade on the chicken peaces and thread them on the skewers, alternating with peaces of onion and pepper
- Grill in a very hot oven (250 C, 480 F) for approximately 20 minutes. Watch closely the last 5 minutes
