I found this in a magazine a few months ago. I don't remember which magazine it was.

Ingredients
- TACO MEAT FILLING
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- BATTER
- cooking spray
- 3/4 C. AP flour
- 1/2 C. corn meal
- 2 envelopes rapid rise yeast
- 1 Tbs. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 C. very warm milk
- 3 Tbs. corn or vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- TOPPING
- 1 C. shredded cheese (your choice)
- 1 C. partially crushed corn chips
- 1 C. chunky salsa
Directions
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Add taco seasoning and mix well.
- Mix batter ingredients together in a pre-sprayed 9 inch deep dish pie tin.
- Top batter with taco meat filling.
- Pour salsa evenly over meat then sprinkle with corn chips and cheese.
- Bake by placing in a COLD oven, then set to 350°F.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until done.

This looks so good and I am intrigued by the method for a yeast recipe. Never seen that before. My whole family loves Taco style/flavor anything. I would probably add corn and jalapeno peppers to the beef mixture. Would a springform pan work as I have no deep dish pie plate?
