Boston Cream Recipe
Makes about 2 ½ cups. Perfect for filling pies, cakes or doughnuts (or if you’re me, eating it straight te he!)

Ingredients
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
  1. In 2 quart saucepan mix milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt, egg yolks.
  2. Cook over medium low heat, until mixture thickens and boils, for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in vanilla. Let cool before use.

Hi jo jo ba this sounds good also. What is the serving size? I think you could play with this one and add different flavors if you wanted to. This could be a very handy recipe. good post!


Sounds Wonderful! Do you think it has the consistencey to be used as a filling for cream filled doughnuts?


I made the serving size 1 tbsp just for ease, and this would be great for doughnuts or Boston Cream Pie!
