Quick Beef Stock For Use In Sauces Recipe

A go-to recipe when I need a more flavorful beef stock to pump up a dish. This is not as flavorful as a basic stock roasting the bones, but it will do in a time crunch.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups of canned beef bouillion
  • 4 tbsp each of finely minced onions and carrots
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of finely minced celery
  • 2/3 cup of red wine
  • 3 parsley sprigs
  • 1 small bay leave or 1/2 of a large bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp of thyme, dried or 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 tsp. of tomato paste

Directions
  1. Mis all ingredients together in sauce pan.
  2. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain and use in sauces.

This no longer appears to be a beef stock after looking at all your added ingredients.The 3 cans of beef stock plus a tblsp. of flour would be all I need. I will try to experience the difference and get back to you.
