BAKED JALAPENO POPPERS
Tried and true and one of my favorites. I serve these several times a year at card parties.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
- 6 bacon slices cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 pound jalapenos halved lengthwise and seeds removed
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
Directions
- Combine cheeses, bacon and seasonings then mix well.
- Fill each pepper half with 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture then roll in breadcrumbs.
- Place on greased baking sheet then bake uncovered at 300 for 30 minutes.

I just happened to pull this recipe from Emeril Lagasse's web site and then checked out this one. Identical. Except that yours shows "seasoning" which is the exact duplicate of Emeril's Essence. Are you Emeril using another name? Or........maybe just forgot to credit him?

I didn't know where this recipe came from, is the only reason I didn't credit Emeril, my favorite chef. I got this from an estate sale a few years back and it has become one of my favorites. Glad to know the source and of course, will give Emeril credit, thanks for letting me know where it originated.
