Crock Pot Cherries Jubilee Cake Recipe
I received this in one of my newsletters. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds so simple and delicious I wanted to share.

Ingredients
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (18 oz) pkg yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 C. butter, melted

Directions
  1. Spread pie filing in the bottom of a greased 4 1/2 to 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle dry cake mix powder over the top.
  3. Pour melted butter over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours.

I have been making this for years. Got the recipe from "Fix It And Forget IT" crockpot recipe cookbook.I put chopped nuts on mine. It is delish! And SO simple!


Hello.. I made this over the weekend for my birthday. It is not a cake. It is more like a fruit crisp or something. It was not cakey, the cake mix and butter just make a kind of sweet topping on top of hot cherries. I'm not saying it wasn't tasty. It was, and for me cherries are the best thing in the world. But since I expected a "cake", I just give 4 stars. Very unique idea though!
