How to make it

  • In large bowl combine ham, sauerkraut, onion and 2 tablespoons of the bread crumbs.
  • In another bowl combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic powder and pepper.
  • Stir into sauerkraut mixture and chill at least one hour or overnight.
  • Shape into balls and coat with flour.
  • In a small bowl beat eggs and milk.
  • Dip ham balls into egg mixture then roll in remaining bread crumbs.
  • Heat oil to 375 in a deep fat fryer or electric skillet and fry until golden brown then drain well.

    I remember having these at a party years ago - so tasty! Thanks for the reminder, chefmeow...this one has to go in the Must Try file for a future party - I love this kind of stuff!
