this is a wonderful Chinese dumpling meant for 4 servings but 2 more like it! be sure your only getting 1 won ton skin they can stick and trick you and 2 are too dense happened to me first time

Ingredients
  • package of won ton skins
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped water chestnuts (canned)
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1/2 lb. cleaned chopped raw shrimp
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbls. peanut oil
  • 1 tbls. sherry
  • 2 tsp. corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh pepper

Directions
  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in steamer
  2. line the steamer with damp cheese cloth
  3. mix all above ingredients
  4. seperate won tons wet edges with water and place mixture in each
  5. pinch the tops (not close tightly)
  6. place in steamer 1 inch apart
  7. steam 6 to 8 minutes covered of course
  8. serve with soy
  9. or mix 1/3 cup rice vinegar with 2 tbls. grated ginger
