Balsamic Chicken With Thyme

- 1/4c flour shopping list
- 3/4tsp. each salt and pepper shopping list
- 4 boneless,skinless chicken breast halves. shopping list
- 2Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1 lg. red onion,cut in half lengthwise,thinly sliced(2 cups.) shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth shopping list
- 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 2tsp. fresh thyme leaves or 1/2tsp. dried shopping list
How to make it
- Mix flour and 1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper on a plate. Add chicken;turn to coat. Shake off excess.
- Heat oil in a lg. cast-iron or heavy skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook,turning once,10 mins or till browned and cooked through.. Remove to a plate,keep warm
- Add onion to skillet and saute 1to 2 mins until lightly browned. Add broth,vinegar,thyme and remaining 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook,stirring often,7 mins or until onions are soft and sauce is syrupy. Spoon over chicken.
