How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease square pan, 8X8X2-inches or 9X9X2-inches.
  • Mix brown sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla in large bowl.
  • Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Stir in zucchini and nuts.
  • Spread batter in pan.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • Prepare Spice Frosting and spread on bars.
  • Spice Frosting:
  • Mix all ingredients until smooth and of spreading consistency.

    These bars are awesome! I used cinnamon in the frosting instead of cloves and then sprinkled them with chopped walnuts. I'm sure you could double the recipe for cupcakes or a cake.
