Zucchini Bars with Spice Frosting

- zucchini Bars: shopping list
- 2/3 C packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 C margarine or butter, softened shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1 C all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 ground cloves shopping list
- 1 C shredded zucchini, drained shopping list
- 1/2 C chopped nuts shopping list
- spice Frosting: shopping list
- 3/4 C powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tbl. margarine or butter, softened shopping list
- 3 to 4 Tbl. milk shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease square pan, 8X8X2-inches or 9X9X2-inches.
- Mix brown sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla in large bowl.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
- Stir in zucchini and nuts.
- Spread batter in pan.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Prepare Spice Frosting and spread on bars.
- Spice Frosting:
- Mix all ingredients until smooth and of spreading consistency.

These bars are awesome! I used cinnamon in the frosting instead of cloves and then sprinkled them with chopped walnuts. I'm sure you could double the recipe for cupcakes or a cake.
