Gift Spice Potpourri Mix

This makes a wonderful gift for your children's teachers and that special someone on everyone's gift list!
Ingredients
- 8 oranges shopping list
- 8 lemons shopping list
- 1/2 cup whole cloves shopping list
- 1/2 cup whole allspice shopping list
- 10 cinnamon sticks shopping list
- 10 bay leaves shopping list
- 10 unshelled nuts, ie, walnuts, pecans (optional) shopping list
- 10 small pine cones (optional) shopping list
- 8-10 cellophane gift bags shopping list
- Festive ribbon, colored string or similar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 175F/100C. Thinly slice 5 whole lemons and oranges, peel and all.
- Then using a sharp vegetable peeler or knife, peel skin off remaining lemons and oranges.
- Spread slices and peels on ovenproof paper lined pans or cookie sheets. Place in oven and dry slices and peel for 1 1/2 hours.
- Slices and peels should be leathery. Air dry for 24 hours.
- Mix with remaining ingredients and pack into bags and tie to seal. To expose scent into an area, simply place a portion of potpourri into open dish and add a small amount of hot water to entice fragrance.
- Makes approx. 8-10 gift bags of potpourri.

This is really nice. Great for gifts, but I don't think I'll wait till Christmas! Tired of buying tins of air fragrance which smell horrible anyway.
