Ingredients
  • 1/2 C. butter/margarine
  • 1 C. Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • 1-3/4 to 2 C. Confectioner's sugar, sifted

Directions
  1. Melt butter in sauce pan.
  2. Add brown sugar.
  3. Boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Cool to lukewarm.
  5. Gradually add confectioner's sugar.
  6. Beat until thick enough to spread.
  7. Note: If icing becomes too stiff, add a little hot water.

I love this it is so easy ,but if i cant find the brown sugar...what can i do?


I think this is the recipe my grandmother uses and it is really good. She always ices caramel cakes with this.
