Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt butter in sauce pan.
  • Add brown sugar.
  • Boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Cool to lukewarm.
  • Gradually add confectioner's sugar.
  • Beat until thick enough to spread.
  • Note: If icing becomes too stiff, add a little hot water.

    I think this is the recipe my grandmother uses and it is really good. She always ices caramel cakes with this.
