How to make it

  • In large mixer bowl, with mixer, beat all the cake ingredients together with the exception of the pecans
  • Beat for 2 minutes
  • Stir in pecans by hand
  • Pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 pan*
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes
  • Cool
  • Then ice cake
  • * May use a Bundt pan, adjusting temperature and cooking time
  • Also may use CREAM CHEESE ICING with 1 or 2 drops of green coloring
