This is a traditional food mayed in a ceramic bowl and heated over a fire at medium heat, and eatun with one raw egg in a bowl when done.

Ingredients
  • 400grams Beef
  • Half a head of Hakusai
  • Daikan radish chopped
  • 4 Shitake Mushroms
  • 1 bunch of Enoki mushroms
  • 1 chopped tofu
  • 1 leek chooped
  • 1 bunch of Muzuna plant
  • 1 Konyaku chopped
  • 10 tbls of sugar or less depending on your taist.
  • 1/2 cup of Soy sause
  • 1 choped Burdok root

Directions
  1. Melt Beef fat in the bowl then place beef in to start cooking then place the Hakusai, cook for 3 minets or so then add the Soy sause and the sugar and the rest of the ingrediance when the soup starts to come from the Hakusai and the soy sause.
  2. (note in Tokyo they use water but I live in Kansai in Kobe and we use no water in this dish) you can add water if you like though.
  3. When your done you put the Sukiyaki in a bowl with one raw egg and eat.
  4. When all the ingrediance are gone and only soup is left then you can add Udon noodles or Omochi.
  5. Have fun and good eatting.

Keep in mind I'm a Vegan and this is traditional Japanese food mayed by my Japanese wife. I don't eat this kind of food. So I don't even know the taist of it.


Oops! I posted a similar recipe. I didn't know there were already two on site. However, yours is more traditional and mine has been modified to meet American kitchen requirements. Hope you don't mind. LOVE Japanese food! Your pictures are FANTASTIC!
