I took Giada's, and added a little more flair. Still simple. Tasty enough to stand alone as a meal with a hunk of Italian bread and simple enough to serve as a side dish. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 2/3 cup Olive Oil
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (3 lemons)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon zest
  • 1/3 cup fresh chopped basil

Directions
  1. Boil the pasta as usual in salted water until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile whisk the oil, Parmesan, lemon juice, garlic, and red pepper altogether.
  3. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of cooking liquid.
  4. Toss the pasta with the lemon sauce, and the reserved cooking liquid, adding 1/4 cup at a time as needed.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with lemon zest and chopped basil.
