How to make it

  • Have mashed potatoes cooled and ready.
  • Mix all ingredients except the flour.
  • Add four cups of flour to start with.
  • When mixed, add one cup of flour at a time to form a soft dough.
  • Put oil in large bowl . Moving the bowl to grease where the dough will go.
  • Put dough in bowl and cover with a dish towel. I turn on the oven at the lowest degree and then turn it off .
  • Then I put the dough in the oven and let dough rise.
  • When the dough has doubled in size, punch down and start to form bread loaves, or dinner rolls or my families favorite Cinnamon Rolls.
  • After forming loaves or rolls place in greased baking pan cover again and let rise.
  • Bake at 350* for 20 to 25 mins.
  • Cinnamon Rolls
  • Roll out dough on floured mat.
  • Pour some butter and smooth around.
  • Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on dough.( It's up to you how much you want to use.)
  • Roll dough up.
  • Cut into roll about an 1 1/2 inches thick.
  • Place in a greased baking pan and cover and let rise again.
  • Bake at 350* for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Make the frosting while the rolls are baking.
  • Mix powdered sugar and margarine.
  • Then add the vanilla and milk.
  • The frosting is ready to be spread on the rolls when they come out of the oven.Making a perfect glaze for a wonderful treat.

I found THIS recipe and joined THIS site JUST so I could review this recipe!
I purchased 3 "aluminum" loaf pans and this makes 3 of those loaves and it makes one round loaf..total? 4 loaves! Not "BIG" loaves but the just the right size ones.
GREAT recipe! GREAT texture...Now...IF you are strictly making "cinnamon" rolls out of this then may I suggest adding vanilla to the dough?
Anyway...bottom line...this is NOW my "go to" bread recipe. BY THE WAY...I use my Kitchen-Aid mixer to make this.
