Ingredients

4 large sweet potatoes

Zest of one lemon

Zest of one-half orange

2 eggs, beaten

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup cane molasses

2/3 cup milk

1/3 cup drinkable whiskey

1/2 tsp each: cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg

Directions

Grate raw sweet potatoes, add lemon and orange zest. Beat eggs and sugar and stir into potatoes. Add spices, syrup, milk, bourbon and butter. Bake in buttered casserole dish for about one hour at 350 degrees. Serve hot.
