How to make it

  • clean mushrooms and remove stems
  • put on a baking sheet and put in a 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes to release some of the moisture, dont want watery mushrooms!
  • while mushrooms are in the oven, brown sausage and drain fat
  • Take mushrooms out of the oven and drain excess water from cookie sheet
  • Mix sausage and cheeses in a bowl
  • fill the mushroom caps with mixture (a melon baller or small ice cream scoop works well, but a teaspoon and fingers are fun too!)
  • place back in 400 degree oven for about 10 minutes more until cheese is hot and bubbly and a little brown on the tops
  • serve with chopped parsley sprinkled on top and you are now a superstar!! :)
