Cajun Sausage And Tomato Gravy

This is a dish that I grew up with. I still love it!
Ingredients
- 1 package of sausage, sliced (whatever brand you like) shopping list
- 2 8oz. cans of tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 large can of diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 chopped onion shopping list
- salt, black pepper, sugar and creole seasoning to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Brown sliced sausage in skillet and add a little water
- Add chopped onion
- Cook until onion is clear
- Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and seasonings to taste
- Cook on low for 30 mins
- Serve over rice
- We also sometimes use instead of sausage, sliced weiners. Or you can crack eggs over the tomato gravy, cover with a lid until the eggs are cooked.

This sounds great...I can see adding some red beans...or maybe even some green beans or zucchini...Love it...thanks for sharing, would never have thought of this combination!
