Ingredients

3 lb sweet potatoes

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided

3 Tbsp butter

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup milk

Directions

Cook & peel and mash sweet potatoes.

Preheat oven to 400.

Butter a 1 1/2 qt casserole.

Hold back 2 Tbsp brown sugar and add rest of ingredients to the mashed sweet potatoes.

Turn into casserole dish.

Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp brown sugar.

Bake 30 minutes.

Damn, I ate dinner there as a teenager. Wow this is a trip down memory lane. I was overwhelmed at the time. Remember putting salt in my tea because I'd never seen salt served in a bowl with a tiny spoon.
