Ingredients
  • 2 grated sweet onions
  • 2 1/2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • additional butter, melted

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until mixture is the consistency of coarse meal.
  4. Pour in milk.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Stir in the grated onions and mix well.
  7. Knead lightly on foured board.
  8. Roll out about one inch thick.
  9. Cut into 12 2 inch rounds.
  10. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  11. Brush with additional butter.
  12. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven about 30 minutes.
