Baby Angel Food Cake

- 6 "Free-Range" egg whites shopping list
- half cup "unbleached, or organic" all purpose flour shopping list
- quarter cup "organic ground cane sugar" shopping list
- teaspoon of honey (optional) shopping list
- three fourths tsp. cream of tartar shopping list
- 1 tsp. almond extract shopping list
- one half cup organic sugar. shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350 degrees
- Sift flour and quarter cup sugar together
- Beat egg whites, cream of tarter, and almond extract until foamy
- Add one half cup sugar gradually
- Continue beating until meringue forms stiff, glossy peaks
- Sift flour mixture, one quarter at a time, over meringue; fold in
- Push batter into ungreased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan
- Cut through batter with knife to prevent air pockets
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done
- Invert pan by setting corners on other pans or custard cups;
- cool completely
- remove from pan
