Mexican Shrimp Cocktail Recipe
This has so many flavors going on,avocado,crunchy,spicy and cool.Serve with freshly fried tortilla chips.

Ingredients
  • 2 stalks,celery cut into small pieces
  • 1 cucumber,de-seeded,peeled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 a large onion,minced
  • 3 -medium size-ripe,but firm avocadoes,chopped
  • 1 bunch cilantro,chopped
  • 2 limes,juiced
  • 32 ounces,spicy V-8 tomato juice
  • 32 ounces,Clamato
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 2 lbs cooked,and peeled shrimp.

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients.Chill one hour.Serve with tortillas chips.

Sounds delicious...


This sounds really good. I'm just a little confused about how to serve it. Is the V8/Clamato mixture supposed to be more like a marinade that you don't really eat/drink, or is a person supposed to put this in a bowl (along with the liquid) and scoop it up like a cold gazpacho...? Or maybe serve it with bread to mop up the juices? Or are you supposed to just eat the flavoured shrimps?

In any case, this sounds interesting and worth a try. :)
