How to make it

  • In a small saucepan,add the sugar,cocoa,vanilla and about 2 oz.milk to form a dark,thick paste.
  • Warm over low-medium heat and keep stirring for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add remaining milk and warm over medium-high heat for 4-6 more minutes.
  • SO good you don't need marshmallows!!
  • Makes 1 large serving.

    Made cocoa for my husband's little cousins and they wouldn't drink it says it's not like my moms I ask how she does it says she adds H2O to powder I almost fainted!! Poor kids!

    I have always loved Hot Cocoa!! All winter long my son and I are like hot cocoa monsters. Gets the day started off right and perfect for those early spring baseball games when the temps are in the 30's at game time, BURR!! Great post!

    This brings back so many memories! My Great Aunt Lena would give us warm milk with a splash of vanilla. We would sleep so good! I might have to have some of that tonight.. Thank you for sharing!! Jett
