How to make it

  • Preheat over to 350F, 170C, Gas Mark 4
  • In a large frying pan or skillet brown the ground beef
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, onion, carrots, tomatoes and peas, mixing well
  • Cook mixture for two or three minutes, then turn off heat
  • Pour beef and veg mixture into a large casserole dish
  • Top the mixture with the mashed potatoes, covering the top evenly and scoring with a fork to make slight ridges in the top
  • Bake for 45 minutes
  • Let the casserole set for 5-10 minutes before serving

    Love-erly!! Meat and potatoes -- can't go wrong! It'd be good with brown gravy or beef gravy in place of tomatoes, don't you think?!
