Homemade Fuzzy Naval Cake

- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose cake shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 (3.5-oz.) vanilla instant pudding mix shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. vegetable oil shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup peach schnapps shopping list
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice from two oranges shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. orange zest shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. Pure orange extract shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1 cup confectioners sugar shopping list
- 4 Tbsp. orange juice (fresh squeeze) shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. peach schnapps shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350*F. Grease and flour a 12 cup Bundt pan, set aside.
- Place the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, pudding mix, peach schnapps, oil, orange juice, orange zest, eggs and orange extract in a large mixing bowl
- Blend with a heavy duty electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute, increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes.
- The batter should be thick and smooth. Pour the batter into the Bundt pan.
- Bake cake until it is golden brown and springs back when lightly touched for 50 minutes.
- Remove cake from the oven and cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes.
- Running a sharp knife around edge of cake and invert it onto a serving platter.
- Glaze:
- Place sugar, orange juice and peach schnapps in a small mixing bowl ans stir well blended.
- Poke holes in the top of cake with a wooden skewer. Spoon the glaze over the warm cake, allowing it to seep into the holes and drizzle down the sides of the cake.
- Cool before serving
